  • Overview

Even when traditional treatment targets are met, patients with chronic kidney disease (CKD) and type 2 diabetes remain at elevated cardiovascular and renal risk. However, emerging evidence suggests that addressing multiple disease pathways simultaneously may help reduce residual risk and improve long-term outcomes. Joining Dr. Brian McDonough to discuss combination therapy and its implications for the management of cardio-renal-metabolic disease are Drs. Anu Lala and Martha Gulati. Dr. Lala is a Professor of Medicine and Cardiology at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in New York, and Dr. Gulati is a Professor of Cardiology at Houston Methodist in Houston.
